Crew Leader - A - Construction

 Responsibilities 

•Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work.

•Supervise and coordinate the activities of a crew of workers.

•Provide training and guidance to crew members

•Ensure safety protocols are followed

•Conducts pre-job or tailgate briefings.

•Possesses working knowledge of all aspects of installing interstate signage-overhead and ground mounted, flat panel and extruded panels, the construction of both drilled foundation and sign foundation/mow mat. Work including but not limited to Setting of concrete and wood poles, installing and maintaining cameras and camera sites, and digital messaging signs, Cabinets, Lowering Devices, and all related hardware, underground electrical utility services, setting up traffic control, operating necessary equipment (including digger derricks, boom trucks, bucket trucks, excavators, compactors, hand tools both manual and electric, etc.)

•Troubleshoots problems and supervises troubleshooting.

•Maintains company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.

•Able to perform rigorous physical labor.

•Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.

•Must understand how to safely operate equipment.

•Capable of planning safe work base

•Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.

•Able to travel long distances at short notice, when required.

•Willing to work overtime when requested.

•Comply with company reporting procedures and complete required company paperwork.

•Maintain safe driving record.

•Willing to work overtime when requested.

•Communicate effectively with other crew members as well as customers.

•Meet daily deadlines and requirements.

Qualifications

•8-year minimum of recent field experience.

•Able to read and communicate effectively in English.

•Possess Class A CDL

•Able to travel long distances at short notice, when required.

•Certification in SCDOT traffic control, MUTCD, and Traffic Flagger.

•Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.

•Able to lift to 50 lbs.

•Complete daily logs.

•A positive customer service focus.

•Dedicated team member.

•Problem solving with minimal supervision.

•Must be willing and able to perform any task necessary to complete the job

•Self-Motivated, Team-Oriented, Customer Oriented.

•Must be able to follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies.

•Certification for Temporary Traffic Control Design and Supervision


Crew Leader-Preventative Maintenance

Responsibilities

•Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work.

•Supervise and coordinate the activities of a crew of Preventative Maintenance workers.

•Provide training and guidance to crew Preventative Maintenance members.

•Ensure safety protocols are followed.

•Conducts pre-job or tailgate briefings.

•Maintains company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.

•Able to perform rigorous physical labor.

•Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.

•Must understand how to safely operate equipment.

•Capable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order.

•Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.

•Does all other related work as required to complete the job.

•Ability to operate computer-based Business Management system.

•Manage and organize materials and personnel to complete the job.

•Willing to travel for overnight projects for extended periods, when required.

•Able to travel long distances at short notice, when required.

•Willing to work overtime when requested.

•Comply with company reporting procedures and complete required company paperwork.

•Maintain safe driving record.

•Communicate effectively with other crew members as well as customers.

•Meet daily deadlines and requirements.

Qualifications

Assistant Crew Leader-B

Responsibilities

•Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of site locations.

•Supervise and coordinate the activities of a crew of workers in absence of Crew Leader A

•Provide training and guidance to crew members

•Ensure safety protocols are followed and using PPE

•Conducts pre-job or tailgate briefings.

•Possesses working knowledge of all aspects of install/maintenance work including but not limited to

Setting of concrete and wood poles, installing and maintaining digital messaging signs, Cabinets, 

Lowering Devices, and all related hardware, underground electrical utility services, setting up traffic 

control, operating necessary equipment (including digger derricks, boom trucks, bucket trucks, 

excavators, compactors, hand tools both manual and electric, etc.)

•Troubleshoots problems and supervises troubleshooting.

•Maintains company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.

•Able to perform rigorous physical labor.

•Comply with company reporting procedures and complete required company paperwork.

•Maintain safe driving record.

•Willing to work overtime when requested.

•Communicate effectively with other crew members as well as customers.

•Meet daily deadlines and requirements.

Crew Member - C
Responsibilities:
* Perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on Communication Systems, Utility, and Highway Signage at various locations
* Travel to different sites, including occasional out-of-state travel, to meet customer demands
* Work safely in a fast-paced environment, adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
* Assist with rigging sign structures, installing conduits underground, and maintaining company vehicles, equipment, and tools
* Perform rigorous physical labor, including working at heights and/or confined spaces, and operating heavy equipment
* Communicate effectively with customers and employees, meeting daily deadlines and requirements
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of recent field experience in a related trade
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
* Certification in SCDOT traffic control, MUTCD, and Traffic Flagger, with knowledge of work zone traffic control
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in extreme weather conditions
* Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL and work overtime when requested
